CAPA Community Services
Make a Difference in Your Community!

The "heart and soul" of any professional association must be its service to the community. CAPA is not just about serving paralegals but also serving the community in which we live, work, and play.

Charity Drives and Collections

Bring your donations to CAPA's monthly luncheons for the following local community charities:

  • Ongoing (since July 2004) ~ Ronald McDonald House ~ Soda Can Tabs - CAPA is working with the Ronald McDonald House Charities to help raise funds in a way that involves no cash expense for our members.  All you have to do is remember to remove the tabs from your can drinks before putting them in the recycle bin.  You can turn the tabs in at the monthly luncheons or Email to arrange delivery. CAPA turns in the miniature Ronald McDonald Houses once they are full of tabs.  If you feel that your office could easily fill one of the houses by themselves, please email us to arrange for obtaining one for your office.
  • Box Tops for Education ~ benefiting low income elementary schools without PTA support.
  • 2018-2019 Flower Fund Charity ~
  • Inside Books Project: This year (2018-2019) CAPA Community Services will be collecting books for Inside Books Project, an Austin-based community service volunteer organization that sends free books and educational materials to prisoners in Texas. Inside Books is the only books-to-prisoners program in Texas, where over 140,000 people are incarcerated. Inside Books Project works to promote reading, literacy, and education among incarcerated individuals and to educate the general public on issues of incarceration.  Please donate your gently used books at each monthly CAPA meeting.
