CAPA Community Services
Make a Difference in Your Community!
The "heart and soul" of any professional association
must be its service to the community. CAPA is not just about serving
paralegals but also serving the community in which we live,
work, and play.
Join other CAPA members to show we care about the welfare of our
neighbors. Let's work together to contribute something worthwhile
to our community!

Flower Fund
At each CAPA luncheon, flower pots are on the dining tables to collect your donations to the designated "Flower Fund" charity.
Charity Drives & Collections
Bring your donations to CAPA's monthly luncheons for the following local community charities:
Ronald McDonald House ~ CAPA is working with the Ronald McDonald House Charities to help raise funds in a way that involves no cash expense for our members. All you have to do is remember to remove the tabs from your can drinks before putting them in the recycle bin. You can turn the tabs in at the monthly luncheons or email
Community@capatx.org to arrange delivery. CAPA turns in the miniature Ronald McDonald Houses once they are full of tabs. If you feel that your office could easily fill one of the houses by themselves, please email us to arrange for obtaining one for your office.

Volunteer Legal Clinics
Volunteer Legal Clinics are sponsored by Volunteer Legal Services and RioGrandeLegal. How are your interviewing skills? Did you know the skills you currently have could help someone? Do you have two hours a month to commit to an experience that can make a difference in someone's life? Please consider volunteering your skills at the evening clinics 6:00-8:00 pm on Mondays at Martin Middle School, 1601 Haskell, and on Wednesdays at Webb Middle School, 601 E. St. John's. Please contact the VLS Coordinator to pick a date for clinic training.
